Beef & Cabbage Stir Fry Recipe




A lot of people want to cook a wholesome and filling meal at home, but can‘t do so because they’re either too tired, too busy, or do not have enough time on their hands. In the end, they resort to ordering takeout or having food delivered to their home. 
But did you know that it’s possible to cook a delicious and nutritious meal without slaving away in the kitchen for hours? 
All it takes is a bit of creativity (and some spice) to transform a few simple ingredients into something that will delight your palate and nourish your body. This Beef and Cabbage Stir Fry recipe from Wellness Mama is one perfect example – try it today! 
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 20 minutes
Ingredients
  • 1 lb. organic grass-fed ground beef
  • 1 small head of organic cabbage, chopped 
  • 2 organic tomatoes, chopped 
  • onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 organic carrots, grated 
  • Spices to taste: salt, pepper, garlic, basil, oregano, thyme, etc. (At least 1 tsp. of each)
Instructions:
  1. Brown beef in a large skillet or wok, adding spices to taste as you go.
  2. When beef is almost completely browned, add sliced onions, grated carrots, and chopped tomatoes.
  3. When onions and carrots are starting to soften, add the cabbage and spice well.
  4. Cook about 10 more minutes, stirring often until cabbage starts to soften.
  5. Can be topped with salsa or sour cream if desired.
This recipe makes 4 to 6 servings.
 

When Buying Ground Beef, Look for Organic and Grass-Fed Varieties

This simple and easy-to-prepare stir fry recipe uses beef, a superior source of protein and other nutrients, including conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), which has been found to be a potential cancer fighter. However, for this recipe (and other recipes calling for ground beef), I advise you to buy ONLY organic, grass-fed ground beef for safety reasons.
Conventional ground beef from confined animal feeding operations (CAFOs), which are notorious breeding grounds for diseases, can expose you to dangerous antibiotic-resistant bacteria, and even fecal bacteria like E. coli. One test even revealed that 100 percent of all ground beef samples contained bacteria that can cause life-threatening blood or urinary tract infections.1
The truth is that ground beef is actually more problematic than solid meat cuts. In whole cuts, the bacteria are found on the surface of the meat, and are destroyed once the meat is cooked thoroughly. When you grind meat, though, the same bacteria get mixed throughout the meat, contaminating all of it. What’s more, ground beef is usually made from a number of different animals – and if one animal is contaminated, the entire batch will be, too.
Once you find organic beef (from pasture raised cows, raised by a trustworthy local farmer), make sure to cook it thoroughly. However, avoid burning it, as burnt meat can cause carcinogenic chemicals called polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and heterocyclic amines (HCAs) to form. Organic beef is not only safer, but also nutritionally superior than CAFO beef, as it is higher in:
  • Total omega-3s (it has a healthier ratio of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids)
  • B-vitamins riboflavin and thiamin
  • Minerals, such as magnesium, calcium, and potassium
  • Vitamin E
  • Beta-carotene
  • Vaccenic acid (which can be transformed to CLA)











Don’t Forget the Other Standout Ingredients in This Recipe

The second equally nutritious ingredient in this recipe is cabbage, which is an excellent source of fiber, folate, vitamin B6, manganese, vitamins B1, B5, B6, and K, as well as powerful antioxidants. These beneficial phytonutrients help protect against several types of cancer, including colon, prostate, and breast cancer. 
Cabbage also contains an impressive amount of vitamin C – it can give you 54 percent of the recommended daily value for this nutrient. Luscious Healthy Lemon Curd Smoothie Recipe




If you ask me what the best fruit to use in your smoothies is, there’s one top choice that I would absolutely recommend: avocado. It’s incredibly versatile, has a mildly sweet (but not overpowering) flavor, and gives your smoothie a thick consistency. Plus, it’s brimming with health-boosting nutrients like B vitamins, fiber, and folic acid.   
You’ve probably tried my Avocado Super Smoothie recipe, but if you want another variation, here’s a delicious recipe from one of my readers, Mary Lyon.
Her Lemon Curd Smoothie combines the tart flavor of lemon and pineapple with the rich goodness of avocado to create a unique but absolutely refreshing drink that you can enjoy anytime, anywhere.
Ingredients
  • ½ organic pineapple
  • 2 to 3 organic lemons
  • 1 banana
  • 2 avocados
  • Handful of organic greens such as spinach or watercress
  • 1Tbsp. coconut oil
Procedure:
  1. Keep the rind on the pineapple and lemon. Cut in small pieces and run through a juicer to separate the juice from the pulp (rinds should not be blended into juice).
  2. Combine pineapple/lemon juice, banana, avocados, greens, and 1 Tbsp. coconut oil in blender, and blend until smooth.
This recipe makes 4 servings.
 
 

Tip: Get Creative When Making Smoothies

Some people tend to drink only one type of smoothie all the time, and while it might seem healthy and convenient, I would advise you to switch up your smoothie ingredients regularly instead so you can get a wide variety of nutrients in your diet.
I highly recommend this smoothie recipe because it truly a packs a nutritional wallop. Not only do you get healthy monounsaturated fats from avocado, but also vitamin C and flavonoids from lemon and pineapple, which can combat inflammation. The latter also contains fiber, and bromelain, an enzyme that is found to have cancer-fighting benefits. 
Adding greens like spinach or watercress also upgrades the nutritional content of this smoothie. Many people dislike using greens in their blended drinks because they can be slightly bitter, but the lemon and pineapple will help mask their strong flavor.
I recommend using organic fruits (and vegetables) when making smoothies, as conventional produce are usually loaded with pesticides and genetically engineered. Plus, if you’re insulin- or leptin-resistant, I advise you not to overdo the fruit. In fact, you should limit your fructose intake to 15 grams of fructose per day from ALL sources, including whole fruit.

I found this great recipe for an essential oils Sleepytime Spray - a safe, effective, and really nice-smelling sleep inducer. A quick spray on the soles of my feet and I'm out cold - and it even works for kids!


Remember sleep? I mean a Good Night’s Sleep. I’ve capitalized it because it’s important. But we often overlook a Good Night’s Sleep, and many of you (myself included) may not have gotten A Good Night’s Sleep in some time. 

What does it even mean anyway? And more importantly – how do I get one?

A Good Night’s Sleep means 8 hours of shut-eye. There are tips and tricks on how to fall asleep – everything from Himalayan salt rock lamps to feng shui to dropping the temperature in your bedroom to a below-comfortable level.

Not Just A Good Night’s Sleep

You need 8 hours every night. Every night. EVERY. NIGHT. There – I’ve said it. Now that we’re on the same page, let’s flip to the next chapter: how to achieve this 8 hours of sleep using essential oils.
I’m guessing you’ve got some knowledge of essential oils, if so just skip this next part where I discuss the essentials of some essential oils (EO). The EOs you’ll need to make the 3-ingredient sleep spray are: Magnesium, Lavender, and Chamomile.

Chamomile: If you’re a gardener, tea-drinker, or just a great person that peruses Healthy Holistic Living daily, you’ll know about chamomile. It is a calming herb which, when brewed into tea, helps the drinker relax. As an EO chamomile is a potent and helpful sleep inducer.

Lavender: Lavender is another lovely flower as well as a calming, relaxing herb. In oil format, it is what we would consider “extremely potent” – sometimes a few drops on a pillowcase is enough. Most people use diluted lavender EO and, because of its potency, don’t use it for kids.


Magnesium: We’ve been talking a lot about magnesium lately: its internal and external uses and what that means for your digestion, cramps, anxiety, and sleeplessness. Magnesium EO can often make your skin tingle, especially if you’re magnesium-deficient, so the tough skin on your feet is a good place to apply magnesium EO. While not technically an “oil”, magnesium essential oil is called oil because of the look and feel – you can buy it (easier) or make it at home (cost-effective).

Why Foot Spray?

Foot baths are super-effective detoxes. With bentonite clay and water, for example, a simple foot bath can be prepared wherein you “literally see the toxins coming out of your feet”. Dubious, I know, but after soaking your feet the water turns dark and you feel a lot better. Even if it’s just a “placebo effect” it works quite nicely.

Your feet have the biggest and most pores of any place on your body, making them the perfect place to absorb much needed magnesium and oils which benefit your whole body. Your feet also have connections to the rest of your body – through touching specific points in your feet, you will do wonders for specific parts of your body.


Homemade Sleepytime Foot Spray

Ingredients


  • 4 ounces of magnesium oil
  • 10 drops Lavender Essential Oil
  • 10 drops Roman Chamomile Essential oil*

*Roman Chamomile EO is more relaxing, while German Chamomile EO is a better anti-inflammatory.


Instructions

Pour the ingredients into a 4 ounce (or larger) glass spray bottle. Cover and shake gently to mix the oils thoroughly. This will yield 24-48 applications.

No Added Sugar, No Grains, Easy and Amazing Paleo Banana Bread






We all like a dessert, but we all don’t have the pleasure of eating it. Whether it be a food allergy or a weight problem fear no more, this banana bread will have you drooling.

Most people love banana bread; it is a food staple in the homes of many, but some people simply cannot eat it. This bread is sugar-free, grain-free, and easy to make. It is wonderful toasted for breakfast, or simply as a delicious dessert. This is something you will feel good about giving to your family. All you need is a few ingredients, so grab them and let’s get to it!

Ingredients:

8 Very ripe bananas, Mashed
1 cup coconut oil
8 Organic eggs
2 tsp vanilla
3 tsp cinnamon
1 cup coconut flour, this is a must!
2 tsp baking soda
½ tsp sea salt
1 cup organic dark chocolate chips you can add nuts as well if you like

Method:

Preheat your oven to 350F.
Add all the ingredients into a bowl, and mix until well combined.
Pour the ingredients into 2 lightly greased pans, I use coconut oil to grease the pans, but you can use whatever you like.

Bake for around 45-60 minutes or until the center is set, and the top is golden. Enjoy!

Rick Simpson Healed 5.000 People from Cancer: This Is a Recipe That Kills All Types of Tumor in 90 Days – VIDEO




Hemp or cannabis oil was used by numerous people for centuries, but it was banned in the second half of the 20th century, as a result of the rise of the billion-dollar pharmaceutical industry.
Rick Simpson is a mechanical engineer and a self-taught doctor, who was diagnosed with skin cancer in 2002 and fought this disease using this miraculous oil. Nowadays, he is one of the greatest world activists for legalization of hemp oil. Using this treatment, he has cured over 5,000 people.
He attended a debate organized in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, on this topic. He states that hemp or cannabis oil can cure a vast variety of serious health issues, like diabetes, arteriosclerosis, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, asthma, psoriasis, as well as some of the deadliest forms of cancer.
Rick recounted his story to the Serbian magazine Telegraph “I always tell people – Cannabis will cure you, and you will see that at present, it is the best cure there is in the world!”
He began his story: “It was 2002. The doctors had given up on me because I’d had more than one unsuccessful operation on three pigmented lesions on my face’s skin. As soon as these were removed, they would reappear even more infected! Since I had been studying plants as a hobby for years, one day as I was looking at my wounds in the mirror, I remembered a study from the University of Virginia that said that THC, an active component of cannabis could cure cancer. I took some cannabis oil I had prepared beforehand from the cabinet and dripped a few drops directly on the wound.”
No significant results could be noticed at first. He bandaged his wounds again after applying the oil and waited for few days.
Then, he went on: After four days I removed the bandages and I couldn’t believe my eyes! The wound was no longer there, and my skin was regenerated! I immediately started talking to people about how I had cured skin cancer with cannabis oil… Everyone laughed at me, but then eleven and a half years have passed, and the cancer still hasn’t returned.”
From then on, Simpson decided to help people in need for this cure, and his work resulted in thousands of cases effectively solved. His last case was an 80-year-old man who was dying from lung cancer.
The man was all swollen from chemotherapy, open wounds on his legs and was barely breathing! After the doctors had given him no more than 48 hours, his son brought him to me. As I had recommended cannabis oil therapy, the young man had also consulted his father’s doctor. The doctor, of course, rejected such treatment, so in the end the young man took the oil from me, soaked a small cracker in it and gave it to his father.”
In less than thirty minutes, the old man finally started breathing normally again and his breathing completely stabilized during the night.
“Although the doctors “explained” that before death, his vital functions would return briefly, his son didn’t want to wait any longer so he checked his father out of the hospital the next morning. He also stopped all of his father’s prescribed therapy. After six weeks of cannabis oil treatment, the old man no longer needed insulin, and after three months he was completely cured from cancer,” says Rick.
Moreover, he stated that cannabis oil therapy is equally effective in all cases, for it knows no age limit. It can even be given to babies.
In order to supply fresh raw ingredients for his hemp oil, Rick soon started growing marijuana, but his field was raided four times in three years by the police. People who publicly claim to cure cancer are threatened 5-40-year imprisonment, according to laws in North America.
So, Jack was imprisoned for four days in Canada in 2005, for cultivating, owning and selling marijuana. However, at one point he was liable for 12 year imprisonment. He was fined 2,000 dollars.
The worst of all was that the jurors were people whose dearest I had cured with cannabis oil. Even the judge knew it was all a farce! At one point he even told me that I should be rewarded, instead of tried! All knew, and no one could do anything! They didn’t even allow ten patients I have cured to testify! They also didn’t allow the doctors to come out on the bench, nor me to show a pile of medical documents about the effects of my oil. If you don’t know the meaning of a “coward court,” go to Canada and you will see what I mean,” claims Jack.
Rick claims that he has never sold weed, but only hemp oil, and as he was deeply disappointed by the Canadian government and corrupted doctors, he even put the recipe for hemp oil on the web page phoenixtears.ca.
According to him, the preparation of this miraculous oil is extremely easy. Simpson’s treatment starts with several drops of hemp oil three times a day.
The usual dose I give to cancer patients is 60 grams within 90 days. And, it is never too late for the patient to start cannabis oil therapy. There isn’t such an excuse as, “It is late”… If you ask me, if I approve of smoking marijuana, I will tell you it isn’t as effective as cannabis oil, but it is scientifically proven that people who smoke marijuana live six years longer than those who don’t.”
Moreover, he adds that as opposed to Europe, North America still puts a blind eye when it comes to legalization of cannabis. He believes that every country in the world should allow their citizens to cultivate and use cannabis for medical purposes. He also points out that pharmacies should be opened for those who can’t cultivate it.
Little is known that cannabis has been used as one of the most healing remedies hundreds of years before Christ. In the ancient Persian religious scripts, which among other things describe the most healing herbs, cannabis takes the first place,” concludes Rick.
His biggest wish and goal is to live in a world without cancer.

 Below is my favorite deodorant recipe. It is AMAZING!!! My husband can ride his bike 70 miles in the blazing summer and still no BO! I also love that it’s a great alternative for my girls who are just reaching the age of needing deodorant. It’s easy to use and you can add essential oils for a “pretty smell”, if you want.

Deodorant Recipe

Ingredients:

6-8 Tbsp Coconut oil (solid state)
1/4 cup baking soda
1/4 cup arrowroot powder or cornstarch (arrowroot is preferred)

Directions:
  1. Combine equal portions of baking soda & arrowroot powder.
  2. Slowly add coconut oil and work it in with a spoon or hand blender until it maintains a firm but pliable texture. It should be about the same texture as commercial deodorant, solid but able to be applied easily. If it is too wet, add further arrowroot powder/cornstarch to thicken.
  3. You can either scoop this recipe into your old deodorant dispensers or place in a small container with lid and apply with fingers with each use. Makes about 1 cup. This recipe lasts about 3 months for two people with regular daily use.

How to Make Your Own All-Natural Yogurt in 7 Easy Steps

Homemade yogurt- recipe
The preparation of homemade yogurt is so incredibly easy, that there is no reason to buy commercially-made yogurt.
You will need:
  • 2 tablespoons of ready-made yogurt as starter (choose organic one, no-sugar-added varieties)
  • 1 quart of raw, organic milk (goat’s milk is best)
  • 1 quart-sized Mason jar
  • 1 ice cube tray
  • A food-grade thermometer
  • 1 bath towel
  • 4-quart saucepan
  • An electric heating pad
  • A wire whisk
Method of preparation:
In the saucepan, heat the milk, but avoiding scorching. Allow the milk to boil very slightly.
Then, pour it into the glass Mason jar and allow it to cool down to 110° (use the thermometer). Next, stir the starter yogurt into the milk and seal the jar. Wrap the jar in the heating pad and then again in the towel. Leave the jar in the turned-on heating pad for 7 to 10 hours.
After that time, gently remove the jar from the heating pad and transfer it to the refrigerator and let it sit overnight. The next morning, it will have formed into the ordinary yogurt texture. This means that your homemade yogurt is ready for consumption.
If you want to give it a little flavor boost, stir in fruit or spices to each individual serving.
