You Are Poisoning Your Household With This Popular Cleaner. It Contains 146 Toxic Chemicals That Can Cause Cancer

You Are Poisoning Your Household With this Popular Cleaner. It contains 146 toxic chemicals that can cause cancer

Commercial cleaning products have been linked to neurological problems, cancer, blindness, and asthma. Many are extremely poisonous.

Did you know that one hundred forty-six chemicals the EWG found in your most used household cleaner? The most toxic of the chemicals found, including formaldehyde, benzene, chloroform and toluene, are not listed on the label.

Tests found that Comet released 146 Air Contaminants, MORE THAN ANY OTHER PRODUCT TESTED, even though only 6 ingredients were actually disclosed on the product label, including:
Seven Chemicals on California’s Prop 65 List as Known to Cause Cancer and Reproductive Toxicity, as well as hormone disruptors, reproductive toxins, asthmagens, allergens, brain and nervous system toxins:

(i)            FORMALDEHYDE, (a chemical known to cause cancer under CA law; a known human carcinogen under the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC); a known human system toxin under the National Library of Medicine of the National Institutes of Health (NIH); known human respiratory toxin per the EPA; studies show as a reproductive/developmental toxin, asthmagen, and allergen),

(i)            TOLUENE, (carcinogen, reproductive/developmental toxin, neurotoxin allergen)

(ii)          ACETALDEHYDE, (carcinogen by Prop 65 law; known human respiratory toxin according to the EPA; known human immune system toxin per the National Library of Medicine of the NIH);)

(iii)         CHLOROFORM, (carcinogen, reproductive/developmental toxin, neurotoxin allergen, used to render people unconscious)

(iv)         BENZENE, (carcinogen, reproductive/developmental toxin, neurotoxin allergen, linked to leukemia in children)

(v)          1-CHLORO-2,3-EPOXYPROPANE  (this petroleum based chemical is listed as a known human immune system toxin per the National Library of Medicine of the NIH; Proposition 65 states that there is strong evidence it is a reproductive toxin; the European Commission on Hormone Disruptors provides there is strong evidence it is a human endocrine disruptor; the EPA, the IARC, the National Toxicology Program of the NIH and the California EPA, the European Union, and Canada, all list it as a possible carcinogen.  It is also designated as a known human respiratory toxin in accordance with the EPA’s regulation of Hazardous Air Pollutants).

(vi)         N-ETHYL-N-NITROSO-ETHANAMINE  (reasonably anticipated to be a human carcinogen under the National Toxicology Program of the NIH; probable human carcinogen per the EPA, and Cal Prop 65 law; toxic under the EPA’s Toxic Release Inventory; mutagenic to DNA.

Don’t expose yourself to toxins that may cause brain damage. You can easily make your own cleaning products.

Neosporin Causes Cancer And Weakens Your Immune System. Make Your Own Natural First Aid Ointment

Neosporin® in the most popular OTC topical antibacterial medication in America. But did you know that people who use it repeatedly can develop a contact dermatitis (like poison ivy reaction) from its use?
Neosporin® and other antibacterial ointments may be one of the factors behind the spread of an especially lethal strain of MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) called USA300.  The study is published in Emerging Infectious Diseases.
The active ingredients in neosporin® are three synthetic antibiotics : neomycin, polysporin, and bacitracin. Other ingredients include cocoa butter, cottonseed oil(likely genetically modified), olive oil, sodium pyruvate, vitamin E, and white petrolatum (crude oil).

Make Your Own Natural First Aid Ointment

This natural ointment is made with  calendula and essential oil (lavender and tea tree oil), along with coconut and olive oil. Calendula can reduce inflammation, heal the skin. Lavender essential oil has a chemically complex structure with over 150 active constituents, which explains its effectiveness at helping with everything from insect bites to rheumatism. Recently, studies have confirmed the effectiveness of lavender essential oil against different strains of bacteria and types of fungus. Tea tree oil acts as a powerful anti-bacterial and anti-viral agent.
  • ½ cup coconut oil
  • ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • ¼ cup dried calendula
  • 2oz beeswax
  • 2 tablespoons of honey (optional)
  • 10 drops lavender essential oil
  • 8 drops Melaleuca/Tea Tree essential oil

InstructionsIn a medium sauce pan, combine the olive oil, coconut oil, comfrey and melt over low heat. Cook for approximately 25 minutes, stirring frequently.
Remove the pan from the stove and strain the herbal mixture through a cheese cloth to remove the herbs.
Wash out your sauce pan and return the strained mixture to the pan. Heat on low, and stir in the honey.
Add the beeswax, and stir until beeswax in melted. Once beeswax and oils are completely melted, remove from heat, and add essential oils when the mixture has cooled a tiny bit.
Quickly pour the mixture into containers before the mixture begins to harden.
This ointment will keep in a closed jar for about a year.

McDonald’s French Fries Found To Contain Silly Putty Ingredient And Petroleum Chemical

Grant Imahara, former host of the eye-opening show Mythbusters, was at it again. This time, he didn’t set out to get involved with crash test dummies or explosives. Instead, he recently focused on a specific food — which it can hardly be called — at McDonald’s: french fries.

Imahara went directly to the fast food chain’s processing plant in the potato-loving state, where he thankfully learned that the fries’ first ingredient are indeed spuds. However, the ingredients that followed are disturbing to say the least. Included on the list of 19 items are dimethylpolysiloxane, a form of silicone found in Silly Putty, tertiary butylhydroquinone (TBHQ), a petrol-based chemical, and hydrogenated soybean oil, which is a manufactured form of trans fat.(1)
Good thing you gave up on their fries a long time ago. If you haven’t, what are you waiting for? These ingredients are downright unhealthy, a Franken-food that can wreak havoc on the body. Let’s take a closer look.

Brain damage and cancer with your fries?

According to Vani Hari, more commonly known as the “Food Babe” who helped bring Subway’s bread ingredients into the spotlight in 2014 for their use of a substance that’s also used in yoga mats, dimethylpolysiloxane should be avoided. The McDonald’s french fry ingredient is the same as what’s found in aquarium tank sealants, mold release agents and hair conditioners. In some cases, she explains that it even contains formaldehyde, a highly toxic chemical associated with brain damage, cancer, allergies and auto-immune disorders.(2)
Interestingly, Hari notes that McDonald’s fries are worse than those made in Europe. She writes that, compared to the U.S., french fries in the UK are primarily made of a few basic ingredients such as potatoes, vegetable oil, and some sugar and salt.(2)
“How can McDonald’s make french fries with such an uncomplicated list of ingredients all over Europe, but not over here?” she asked. “Why do McDonald’s french fries in the U.S. have to have an ‘anti-foaming’ agent? Do the Brits like extra foam? No, they don’t, Europe actually regulates this ingredient because they know this man-made chemical was never intended to be consumed by humans. This whole time McDonald’s has known about this and chooses to continue to serve its U.S. citizens silly putty.”(2)

Safe to eat, even though it’s the same ingredient found in lacquers

Then there is the issue of tertiary butylhydroquinone (TBHQ).
Those involved in making the chemical casually applaud its so-called virtues. For example, the site TBHQTertiaryButylhydroquinone.com says that it’s a “type of phenol” that is “used to stabilize foods, fats and vegetable oils against oxidative deterioration,” which extends their storage life. Unfortunately, the site also says that it’s found in everything from perfumes to biodiesel. Worse, it claims that it’s safe to ingest.(3)
It states:
It is also used as a corrosion inhibitor in biodiesel. In perfumery, it is used as a fixative to lower the evaporation rate and improve stability. It is also added to varnishes, lacquers, resins, and oil field additives. Both the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have evaluated TBHQ and determined that it is safe to consume at the concentration allowed in foods.(3)

Sinking your teeth into a “silent killer”

Finally, let’s take a look at hydrogenated soybean oil.
Like TBHQ, it’s used in the food industry to prolong shelf life. It’s also referred to as the “Silent Killer,” and for good reason. A report put out by researchers at the Harvard School of Public Health and the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston noted that at least 100,000 cardiac deaths that take place annually in the United States could have been prevented “if people replaced trans fat with healthier non hydrogenated polyunsaturated or monounsaturated oils.”(4)
These are all chemicals that are bad for people’s health. They’re not natural, are found in Silly Putty and added to resins, and play a role in destroying heart health. Be sure to steer clear of McDonald’s french fries, and foods from other fast food restaurants for that matter. In doing so, you’ll be vastly improving overall health.

10 Foods Made in China That Are Filled With Plastic, Pesticides and Cancer Causing Chemicals

Many parts of China are actually known for their fine cuisine, but its food industry has taken a lot of heat lately for its troubling lack of standards (and for good reason).

People everywhere are avoiding food imports from China, and it’s easy to understand why.

For years, China has been inventive in creating outrageously-toxic fake products and food items. While there is no evidence that the vast majority of these products is being sold in the United States, sites such as eBay and some vendors on Amazon.com have been seen selling food that sometimes openly, sometimes discreetly are being made and often shipped straight from the country.

The list below is just ten examples of illegal counterfeit food product from China, that may make you think twice about purchasing food from online sources that ship from across the ocean.

1. Imitation Eggs

Some Chinese websites have come out with instructional videos on how to make $70 a day by producing and selling fake eggs. The chemicals that are required are “Alginic Acid, Potassium Alum, Gelatin, Calcium Chloride, water and artificial color.” The eggshells are made from Calcium Carbonate. Eating these eggs may cause memory-loss and dementia.

2. Walnuts stuffed with cement

In 2012 a man purchased shelled walnuts in Zhengzhou city, China only to find broken concrete pieces inside. The concrete was wrapped in paper to prevent it from making a suspicious noise when the nut was shaken. The vendor who sold the walnuts was trying to gain more profit by selling these fake nuts that were much heavier than the real thing. More photos are shown at this Chinese news site.

3. Making beef out of pork

Because pork is less expensive in China, some restaurants have sold it instead of beef – but not before they performed some chemistry on it. What they use are a beef extract and a glazing agent to “marinate” the meat in for 90 minutes. Doctors have advised people to stay away from this fake product as its long-term use may cause “slow poisoning, deformity, and even cancer.”

4. Fake green peas

In 2005, fake peas were found in Hunan province, China. According to a local newspaper, the peas were still hard after boiling, yet turned the water unnatural green color. The fake peas were reported to be very profitable, and one of the illegal workshop was producing them for three years before it was investigated. The fake peas were created with snow peas and soy beans, added with green dye and sodium metabisulfite (used as bleach and preservative). This dye is forbidden to use on produce because it may cause cancer, as well as obstruct the body’s ability to absorb calcium.

“Such toxic artificial green peas have been found in Hunan and Guangdong before, but it looks like the news didn’t catch enough attention from the officials,” said Sang Liwei, a Beijing-based food safety expert.

In China, officials only label a case a “food safety incident” when at least one person dies as the result of it, according to the source.

“In cases like this, where the danger only lies in possible long-term diseases caused by the misuse of additives, it’s not surprising to see lagged handlings,” said Sang Liwei.

5. Baby formula

In 2004, 47 people were accused of producing fake instant baby formula that led to dozens of children dying in Fuyang, China, reported CBS News. The formula contained very few nutrients, was likely made of chalk, and made the children develop a “big head disease,” which made their heads swell and the rest of their bodies slowly deteriorate.

6. Industrial salt sold as table salt

Industrial salt is labeled “unfit for human consumption.” Yet it is much cheaper, which is why 788 tons of it was sold by at least 12 people over the course of 13 years as table salt.  The industrial salt can cause mental and physical issues, such as hypothyroid problems and reproductive system disorders.

7. Mud sold as black pepper

A market vendor in China’s Guangdong Province collected local mud and sold it as black pepper, while their white pepper was mainly made out of flour. His excuse for justifying selling these fake items was that they “would not kill people.

Considering that fake foods in China do not get investigated until someone dies, how many more items are sold made of fake items and chemicals because they “would not kill people.” At least, not immediately.

8. Fake Sweet Potato Noodles

A facility in Zhongshan city, China made at least 5.5 tons of fake noodles. In 2011, people started complaining that what were supposed to be sweet potato noodles tasted strange. Further investigation led to a revelation that the noodles were composed of corn with an industrial ink used to give them a purple color, and paraffin wax.

9. Fake Ginseng

Ginseng root is a popular medicinal plant, used as a tonic in China for over 3,000 years. According to BON TV, prices for ginseng have increased rapidly, pushing many ginseng retailers to figure out a way to keep making profit. Their solution was to boil the roots in sugar, which makes them much heavier and therefore more profitable.

Chinese medicine expert from the National Institute for Food and Drug Control Wei Feng said this is problematic, not only because the retailers are ripping-off the customers, but also because boiling ginseng in sugar might strip it from most of its medicinal values. The test showed that while natural ginseng has 20% content of sugar, this fake one is up to 70% sugar. “It can do little to improve people’s health,” Wei Feng said.

10. Plastic Rice

Huge amounts of fake rice has been seized in China, and it is believed that much of it is produced from potatoes combined with a synthetic resin. Just like the peas, the rice stayed hard after boiling. Also like the peas, its long-term consumption could cause cancer.

The goal? To make money, of course, as scam artists have been imitating a popular type of Chinese rice called “Wuchang.”

The full report on plastic rice from China can be read here.
