Massage Your Feet Before Going To Bed, Here is Why it is So Important

Apart from being extremely beneficial for your health, massage is undoubtedly one of the most efficient methods for relaxation. What is even better, you can do it at home.
Plus, you can do it yourself at the comfort of your home.
Massages are also beneficial for your skin, for they rejuvenate it by making it healthier and more beautiful. However, they have even bigger effect on the health of our body, since they improve metabolism, stimulate sweat secretion, reduce fat, and enhance blood circulation both in the body and through the tissues.
Furthermore, massages stimulate digestion and relax our muscles. In addition, during massaging, we eliminate the acids responsible for cramps.
Today’s article will present one type of massage which is extremely healing.
Numerous health experts say that the feet represent a map of the whole organism. They play a significant role in the nervous system because the soles of the feet contain more sweat glands and sensitive nerve-endings per square centimeter than any other part of your body. These nerve- endings are linked to other body, and their massage in fact stimulates the organs in your body.
Therefore, you can treat various ailments and maintain proper function of your organs by regularly massaging your feet, more particularly, applying pressure on particular spots of your feet.
This should be done by applying pressure strongly with your thumb on a particular spot, hold for several seconds and then move to the next spot. For best results, this massage should last for 10- 15 minutes. Experts believe that this massage should be done every single night, before going to bed.

4 Super Simple Exercises for Knee and Foot Arthritis

Arthritis is a disease causing painful inflammation and stiffness of the joints.

The pain and stiffness you feel in your feet and ankles as you grow older could be arthritis. If left untreated it can become unbearable and lead to almost complete immobility.

This debilitating ailment, however, can be improved through these 4 simple exercises;

Sit and Stand (For Knee Arthiritis)

Simply sit down and stand up in a chair to strengthen the muscles in your legs and knees. Do this exercise slowly and pay attention to your form and listen to your body, how you feel and what pace is most comfortable for you. Choose a chair that suits your level of need. The higher the chair, the less the motion which means it will be less effort, and the lower the chair the greater the effort.

Repeat the exercise 8-12 times daily.

Knee Squats (For Knee Arthritis)

Holding something to support your body weight, lower your upper body slowly to do a squatting position and then stand up, again pay attention to form and how your body feels. Go at a comfortable pace.

Repeat the squat 8-12 times daily.

Step Ups (For Foot Arthritis)

Next to a flight of stairs, of even an object that you can step onto, simply step up with one foot in a slow and comfortable form, and then do the same with the other foot. Then step back down with the first foot followed by the other. Once again, pay attention to form and how your body feels.

Repeat until you are burnt out, and feel as though you can no longer do anymore without it being uncomfortable.

Walking (For Both Feet and Knees)

Walk for at least 30 minutes, 5 or more times in a week. If you live near the beach, you can up this to 45 minutes or more, depending on what makes you feel more comfortable.
