This Popular Powder Is Silently Causing Ovarian Cancer In Thousands Of Women

Baby powder is found in many homes. It isn’t just for a baby’s bottom, many women use it to help keep their skin soft and young looking. However, what most people don’t know is that the talc found in baby powder has been linked to ovarian cancer.

Although it has yet to be classified as a carcinogen, Dr. Cramer estimates that talc-based baby powder and body powder are responsible for thousands of cases of ovarian cancer every year in the US.
An association between talcum powder–specifically, its use in the genital area–and ovarian cancer has been found by multiple studies, including one published in 2008. That study found that women who use talcum powder daily could have a 41 percent increased risk of ovarian cancer.

Although some studies have found no link between talc and ovarian cancer, Dr. Cramer suggests this has to do with the length of the study.
“The main problem is that most of the studies don’t show a so-called dose response,” says Dr. Cramer. “That is, the longer you use it and the more times you apply it, the greater the risk.”

Real Life Story

A South Dakota woman, Deane Berg, who developed premenopausal ovarian cancer after 30 years of using Shower to Shower body power, brought suit against Johnson & Johnson (J&J), claiming it failed to warn consumers about the dangers of talc and ovarian cancer.
She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer when she was premenopausal. This is odd considering only 25% of women diagnosed with ovarian cancer are premenopausal. She also has no family history of the disease.

When Dr. Cramer performed tests, the results were clear.
“We calculated that she had had more than 8,000 applications of talcum powder. Tests showed the talc was in her ovaries, her endometrium and lymph nodes,” he adds.
“You could see her sort of tearing up when this information came out during the trial,” says Dr. Cramer. “Here was this talc in her lymph nodes. It had been there forever. She had no idea this was going on and it was clearly was upsetting to her.”
She won her case.

There is now an active lawsuit against Johnson & Johnson for their failure to warn women of the possible ovarian cancer dangers associated with continuous talc use.

Baby Powder and the Baby

Baby powder isn’t safe for babies either.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends against using baby powder because of the risk of respiratory problems. Baby powder can cause breathing trouble and serious lung damage if a baby inhales the particles. And the particles are small enough that it’s hard to keep them out of the air during use. This is especially true of talc-based powders, with their small, easily inhaled particles. (Baby Center)
This is also true or cornstarch based baby powder.

What to Use Instead!

Arrowroot is the perfect alternative for baby powder. Mix ½ cup arrowroot with 1 tsp chamomile. The chamomile will soothe the skin and the arrowroot will keep it dry. This mixture is also safe and effective for adult use.

M&M's Candies Are Linked to cancer, migraines, hyperactivity, allergies, anxiety, and more.

Please, do not give these toxic candies to your kids.

Mars, inc. was founded by Franklin Clarence Mars. He started the Mars candy factory in 1911 in Tacoma, Washington. One of the most popular candies created by the Mars company is, M&Ms.

M&Ms were created in 1941 and are now sold in over 100 countries with 33 different fillings. The candy-coated chocolate was created to allow soldiers to carry chocolate without the worry of it melting. “Melts in your mouth, not in your hand”.

The two “M”s represent Forest E. Mars Sr and William F. R. Murrie, the son of Hershey chocolate’s president who had a 20% share in the product. This partnership allowed Mars to use Hershey chocolate in their products. Hershey had control of the rationed chocolate at the time.

In 1976, Red candies were eliminated due to consumers health concerns of suspected carcinogen found in dye FD&C Red #2. Red candies were reintroduced in 1986 and Mars, inc. has continued to receive petitions about removing the artificial colors.

A petition by Change.org and a press release from Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) described the artificial colors as “neurotoxic chemicals”.

This petition was similar to that of Kraft, urging them to remove dangerous Yellow #5 and Yellow #6 from its Macaroni and Cheese which was supported by 350,000 signatures.

The CSPI urged the petition to recommend warning labels listing the alleged risks of eight approved FD&C food colors. The CSPI’s Dr Jacobson said: “The evidence that these petrochemicals worsen some children’s behavior is convincing.

“I hope that the committee will advise the agency to both require warning notices and encourage companies voluntarily to switch to safer natural colorings.”

Let’s look at the current ingredients listed on a bag of Original M&Ms:

Milk chocolate (sugar, chocolate, cocoa butter, skim milk, milk fat, lactose, soy lecithin, salt, artificial color), sugar, cornstarch, >1% corn syrup, dextrin, artificial colors (Blue 1 Lake, Red 40 Lake, Yellow 6, Yellow 5, Red 40, Blue 1, Blue 2 Lake, Yellow 6 Lake, Yellow 5 Lake, Blue 2), gum acacia.

What are the harm of these ingredients:

•Soy lecithin: 93% of soy is genetically modified. Soy lecithin can cause breast cancer, has negative effects on fertility and reproduction, may lead to behavioral and cerebral abnormalities.

“Lake” within these artificial colors means salt was added to the color. This makes the color insoluble in liquids.

•Blue #1: Produces malignant tumors at the site of injection and by ingestion in rats. Possible effects include asthma, hives, hay fever, low blood pressure, allergic reactions. Caution is advised if aspirin sensitive.

•Red #40: Damages DNA, causes swelling around the mouth, hives, hyperactivity in children and cancer.

•Yellow #6: Can cause cancer, hyperactivity, allergic reactions, diarrhea, vomiting, nettle rash, migraines and swelling of the skin.

•Yellow #5: Can cause allergic reactions, hyperactivity, cancer.

•Blue #2: Is a petroleum based product with a chemical formula of C16H10N2O2. It increases hyperactivity in children, increases brain tumors in lab rats and other abnormal cell development.

•Gum Acacia: Is a dietary fiber from the Acacia tree. It causes gas, bloating, nausea and loose stool.

Unfortunately the Mars company has chosen to continue to use these artificial colors because the FDA has stated they are safe for human consumption. They choose to ignore the scientific data stating otherwise, even though there are other natural, safe color alternatives. In 2007 Forbes reported Mars, inc. made $27.4 million dollars. I think they can afford to make some positive changes to their products, until then, they won’t see a penny of my money.

Stop Eating Tilapia ASAP! Read About the Disgusting Reasons Why

There is mounting evidence that tilapia, the third most consumed fish in America, is extremely harmful to our health, since it is grown in China in bad farming practices.
Undoubtedly, tilapia has deserved its common use for it is quite inexpensive, can be bought skinless and boneless and is really tasty. And it would have been healthy if being wild.
However, its origin is the real problem, for the tilapia we consume today is farm-bred instead of wild. It is absolutely impossible for one to come across wild tilapia on the market or even in restaurants.
Actually, farm-raised tilapia is not health beneficial for several reasons. Healthy fish oil in wild tilapia is basically lacking in farm-bred one. Namely, while wild tilapia eats lake plants and algae, farm-bred tilapia is fed on soy pellets and GMO corn.
It is of crucial importance that you opt for wild tilapia, since the farm-bred tilapia is deficient in the vital nutrients your body needs. Instead, it provides numerous harmful effects, including the following:
High Dioxin Levels
Dioxins are not only toxic, but can also affect your proper body and can even trigger cancer development. Farm-bred tilapia contains higher dioxin levels, in fact, 11 times more dioxins than wild tilapia. Moreover, as soon as dioxins get into the body, they take a long time to get out – around 7-11 years is half of what it takes for dioxin to be discarded from the body.
Higher Pesticides and Antibiotics
In general, farm-bred fish contain higher content of pesticides and antibiotics. This is due to the fact that farm fish are bred in a crowd, which makes them more susceptible to diseases, and they are often given antibiotics so as to keep them healthy. In addition, in order to kill sea lice, pesticides are also used. These pesticides are in fact so strong that can kill wild salmon when exposed to them accidentally.
Inflammation
Farm-bred tilapia can lead to inflammation, according to newest research. The consumption of tilapia can in fact worsen already existing inflammation caused by a number of health issues including asthma, heart disease, and arthritis. It is a fact that tilapia is a much more serious risk factor for inflammation than bacon or hamburgers.
Low Omega-3 to Omega-6 Ratios
Another big difference between the two is the fact that farm-raised tilapia contains less healthy nutrients than the wild one. Moreover, farm-raised tilapia also contains less protein. Plus, the omega 3 fatty acids in farm-bred tilapia are not as beneficial as opposed to the omega fatty acids in wild tilapia.
These fish are raised in pools, which makes them fattier and they often contain more omega 6 fatty acids, and overconsumption of omega 6 fatty acids increases the risk of inflammation. In farm-bred tilapia the omega 3 to omega 6 ratios in farm- bred tilapia are out of balance, so they have negative effect on our health.
Cancer Causing Pollutants
One of the main ingredients in the feed is chicken poop, as well as pig and duck waste.  In general, farmed-raised fish is 10 times more exposed to cancerous organic pollutants than wild tilapia.

Johnson & Johnson Admits: Our Baby Products Contain Cancer-Causing Formaldehyde

Parents everywhere were shocked to learn that the No More Tears baby shampoo from Johnson & Johnson contained formaldehyde, which has been shown to cause cancer and is most well-known for its use in embalming dead bodies.
But to find out just what the danger is in adding a substance like formaldehyde to baby products you have to look at the evidence from research that has been done over the past few decades, and you must start by understanding just what formaldehyde is.
Formaldehyde has a very strong smell, and it is highly flammable. It is a clear liquid that is used in dozens of different products including cleaning solutions, building materials, glue, fabrics, paper products and insulation materials. It is also used commercially for its anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and disinfectant properties.
But what about formaldehyde and cancer? Is it as dangerous as people think? Although the long-term research on formaldehyde hasn’t been completely finished, there are several signs that point to it as a carcinogen, or cancer-causing agent.
In fact, the United States government has officially labeled it as such. The EPA has had it classified as a carcinogen since 1987.
There have been a number of studies that show that it does indeed cause cancer in both rats and humans and studies of people that work around embalming fluid like embalmers have shown that they have a higher rate of cancer than other groups. So the facts are fairly clear on whether or not formaldehyde really does cause cancer.
Johnson & Johnson Scandal
Although the company claims that the amount of formaldehyde isn’t large enough to be detrimental to humans – even infant humans – the fact is that it still has allowed this chemical for as long as they have been making the No More Tears shampoo.
But now, the company has announced the removal of formaldehyde from that shampoo and they are removing it from one hundred other products that they manufacture as well.
It could be seen as a sign of good intentions that the company is removing it from their products. But the real question is: why hasn’t it been removed before now?
Obviously, the product doesn’t require that particular ingredient to be manufactured because they are now using a different formula that is formaldehyde free.
Also, the timing is suspect because California just passed a law that required cosmetic companies to identify more than 160 chemicals that could be harmful to people that they previously had been keeping secret.
Johnson & Johnson isn’t the only offender of including harmful chemicals in bath and body products. There are advocates that are lobbying for other cosmetic companies to remove harmful ingredients after independent researchers found that their products still contained the offending substances.
Johnson & Johnson claim that it cost them tens of millions of dollars to make the changes, so it isn’t clear if other companies will follow suit, or if they can even afford to.
