Learning new life hacks is one of my favorite things to do especially when I already have the supplies on hand. If you’re at all similar you’re going to love the following video. You may have previously seen hacks that keep doors from locking, however this one will teach you just the opposite for safety reasons. YouTuber Phil Crockett thought up this ingenious technique to keep a door locked using only a modified dinner fork!
This “locking fork” is super easy to make and will come in handy when you need a bit of additional security in certain situations including public restrooms, motel rooms, or anything else you can think up.
To make your own device perfectly you should use a fork with 2 inch prongs, a saw, and a vice. The idea is to have the fork handle fit between the prongs.
You’re pretty much just bending the fork in the right places. This man is brilliant!
