These domes are like luxury suites on the inside, but allow for sustainable, off-grid living
A new house, designed in geodesic style by No Rules Just Architecture is a simple to build structure that harvests rain water and solar power, helping propel the inhabitants to a sustainable lifestyle.
"Geodesic" means that it is built with a number of triangular elements which distribute structural stress evenly; these buildings are known for being extremely sturdy.
The DOM(E), as named by the architects that designed it, is 120 square meters and resembles something akin to a luxury suite. With magnificent, vaulted ceilings and tons of natural light, this house remains fully functional in the summer and winter. The walls are well insulated and an underground air circulation system regulates the temperature; it is warm in winter and cool in summer.
It is designed as an all season home and according to the designers is "perfect for those who value unconventional space," is "easily foldable" and is built with a "durable environmentally friendly use of materials and construction."
