Quitting the special ed system with the help of his concerned mother changed everything
Jacob Barnett, the young boy today revered as a genius, was once perceived (or condemned) as being mentally challenged and disabled by the condition of autism according to "experts" within the medical and school systems.
After enlisting him into "special education", Jacob's mom, Kristine Barnett, was told that her son would never be able to be a "normal" child. The "professionals" affirmed that he would never be able to read or even tie his shoe laces and, as a result, would not be able to do much with his life.

The results were phenomenal;
Kristine began educating her son through the formula of what she describes as "surrounding children with the things they love – be it music, or art, whatever they’re drawn to and love.”
As a result, Jacob at the young age of 11, entered college and went on to study condensed matter physics at Indiana University/Purdue University where, today, he is working on several of the most puzzling problems and mysteries in astrophysics and theoretical physics that, if solved, would most likely win him the nobel prize according to Professor Scott Tremaine. To further highlight the incompetence of the school system and the system at large, Jacob is the youngest astrophysics researcher in history and has recorded an IQ of 170 which is higher
than Albert Einstein!
