The Metro Atlanta Boys & Girls club is a youth outreach program that helps children navigate their way through the difficulties of what sometimes is a cruel world. Many of these children's parents cannot even afford a Christmas tree.
UP TV decided to try a little social experiment with the children, by shifting the overall focus from a child's perspective of receiving to giving in relation to Christmas.
The children first explain what they personally would like for Christmas and then they are asked what their parents might like?
The children are then presented with the gifts they've been dreaming about while also being presented with the gifts they believe their parents would want too.
The children then are allowed to either pick a gift for themselves, or a gift for their moms and dads. What follows is enough to bring a tear of overwhelming happiness to anyone's eyes because it reminds us that despite all the horrible things we see on the news about the youth of today or the human race in general, there is still something very special and beautiful in what it means to simply be a human being.
