Facebook says it will notify you if the government is trying to hack into your account

Facebook accounts are highly susceptible to being hacked. If it hasn't happened to you, chances are it's happened to someone you know.

Facebook, now claims
it will be alerting its users when governmental authorities try hack their profiles.

This is what  Facebook had to say;
While we have always taken steps to secure accounts that we believe to have been compromised, we decided to show this additional warning if we have a strong suspicion that an attack could be government-sponsored. We do this because these types of attacks tend to be more advanced and dangerous than others, and we strongly encourage affected people to take the actions necessary to secure all of their online accounts.
While this sounds nice and all, are we really to believe a company who is known to have already been sharing information with the NSA?

And, let's not forget that Max Kelley, Facebook's former security Chief left the company to go work for the NSA

So what do you think? Is Facebook trying to play the good guy or are they being genuine? Please comment with your thoughts below;
