Pharmaceutical mega corporation Johnson & Johnson is currently in the midst of two class-action lawsuits filed in 2014, both pertaining to infecting women with ovarian cancer from their famous baby powder.
After South Dakota resident Deane Berg took the company to court for not warning her that using their products could cause cancer, which she developed in 2006, she won, which has now prompted a major debate in the media, more specifically, social media — Since the mainstream media seems to be painfully quiet on this.
Dr. Daniel Carmer of Harvard University claims an estimated 10,000 women a year are at risk of developing ovarian cancer as a result of the corporations negligence.
It was already demonstrated in a study in 1982 that there is a relationship between baby powder and ovarian cancer in women, particularly because of the ingredient of talcum. The results showed that the women who used talcum based powders have a 300 times greater chance of developing cancer! How could this company knowingly hide this information from its consumers??
It should be mentioned that this is only addressing the health risks of adult women, we do not yet know what health risks they pose to our children.
Once again, major corporations have demonstrated why they cannot be trusted. This is absolutely inexcusable and sadly, only those who have been diagnosed with cancer can truly understand this.
