When millions of people collectively put their focus into something... Surreal things happen.
GCP was started by Roger D. Nelson, a professor at Princeton University who holds a PHD in experimental cognitive psychology and what it essentially does is measure the energy and collective consciousness of the world's population.
According to the official website;
The Global Consciousness Project is an international, multidisciplinary collaboration of scientists and engineers. We collect data continuously from a global network of physical random number generators located in up to 70 host sites around the world at any given time. The data are transmitted to a central archive which now contains more than 15 years of random data in parallel sequences of synchronized 200-bit trials generated every second.The scientific name given to this mind blowing discovery is Electrogaiagram, better known as EGG. It is measured through around one hundred highly sophisticated computers in different different parts of the world and literally operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The computer network look for strange anomalies in the readings, such as the incredible readings that followed just a few hours after the September 11th attacks. Where the analysis of the data showed that the New York computer jumped past the 1 to 0 ratio of 50:50 to 1:35, which means it went crazy!
Similar patterns were observed just before the terrorist attacks allegedly committed by Al Qaeda in Madrid, 2004 and London, 2005. The same was found from the tsunami that decimated Southeast Asia and the dramatic election of President Obama which suggests that our consciousness can predict major events before they even take place.
There is still much more work that needs to be done in order to truly verify and validate these findings but this is still very interesting, to say the least.
The prospect of us all being connected through our mental energies, does not seem that far fetched when one considers the internal similarities and complex dynamics of the human body and applies them to the larger scale of the planet, or even the galaxy.
